a. you’ll notice a clean new look around here as well as a few added surprises, so take a few minutes to look around. i think it works, and it certainly goes with my ongoing effort to live a minimal lifestyle.
2. twenty-one days ago, i made my plans to leave this fall public. since then, the amazing people in my life have donated nearly $1,500 towards my $7,500 goal which will be used to help others. since i know i won’t ever be able to find the words to express my gratitude, i’ll simply say thank you. it means more than you’ll ever know.
d. triathlon season is right around the corner, and i’m busy training for that. i hope to give you updates throughout the year, and fill you in on the races i’m running. i placed third out of over 1,000 runners a few weeks back at a local 5k, so that felt pretty good. training as much as i do sometimes gets to be a bit much, but it keeps me healthy and is a constant reminder that we are capable of so much more than we often think. it’s also a good excuse to buy new shoes, so it’s really a win win in my book.
